Challenge

Hechinger Company was a $2.2 billion retailer headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area.
They needed systematic methods to communicate to their 18,000 employees and 120 locations nationwide.

Tools

Over a four-year period, BCSI created communication strategies and tactics targeted at every level of the company. These included town-hall meetings with the CEO, quarterly video news programming, and an employee magazine to reach all employees.


 

Results

The new communication strategy improved employee retention numbers, decreased inventory loss, created record same-store sales and improved cash flow.
